Protect Your Pea Coats!

Do you have that beautiful pea coat in the back of your wardrobe that you pull out each year to wear? A timeless investment you are so excited to wear each winter? A colour that goes with everything or maybe a statement piece that always gets attention? How would you feel if you took it from the hanger to find that it was covered in holes? You need to make sure you protect your investments. You wouldn't live in a house with no insurance would you? Make sure to rotate your natural fibre clothing to prevent the pesky moths from eating them! There's a few simple steps you can take to stop this from happening.
- Before packing away for the summer, store wool, cashmere and cottons in breathable bags.
- Inside your wardrobe, pop some essential oil diffusers and moth pheromone traps
- If you can, remove any carpet from the bottom of built in wardrobes and anything thrown in the back. Keep the space clear. This is the favourite place for moth to lay their eggs. Nice and dark and undisturbed.
